About the author: Mira Illeris and Esben Schultz

Mira Illeris and Esben Schultz run Reforest Farm in Denmark, an offgrid permaculture home and educational forest gardens. They started The Self Sustaining Village on Funen and founded the Scandinavian Permaculture Magazine in 2009. Mira grew up in the organic farming collective Svanholm on Zealand and Esben on a family farm in Jutland, giving them both strong roots in agriculture. They are both trained organic farmers and are active in the Danish Permaculture Association, where they campaign to influence the spread of permaculture.
